What’s been happening:

After graduating from PSU, I joined Pan American Airways as an international flight attendant, stationed in New York. My flight routes included S. America, Caribbean, Asia, Africa, and Europe. Among the more famous passengers I served were Charles Lindbergh, Sean Connery, Joan Collins, William Holden, and the Beatles. After leaving Pan Am, I worked at IBM in Philadelphia, traveling the country demonstrating and training executives in the use of computers in business. I pursued my Master's Degree at West Chester University while opening a private, licensed nursery school/kindergarten and raising my two children, Mindy and Jamie. After 25 years of teaching, I retired and donated the contents of my school to URBANPROMISE in Wilmington, Delaware, a school for underprivileged children. In 2007, I formed Barnsworth Educational Consulting to present seminars and workshops about educating children. In 2008, I authored, No Batteries Required, a book that includes 530 hands-on, low-cost activities parents and children ages 3-8 can do together. In June 2009, the book was featured on NBC's The Ten Show, where I demonstrated six summer activities from the book. For more information see www.TheKidWhisperer.net. I now divide my time between West Chester, PA and Key West, FL. My leisure activities include golf, scuba diving, and singing with several vocal groups.
